Costumes - Rental
Encore Theatrical Stores feature many beautiful quality rental costumes
which are available all year long. A large selection of costume rentals
are available in our
Pleasanton store. Due to the
smaller size of our Walnut Creek store,
they rent only Santa Claus and
Easter Bunny costumes.
Reservations: Costumes may be
reserved in advance of your event. Costumes are reserved by paying the
rental fee. The costume is then tagged and held for your pickup.
Reserve early for busy holiday seasons.
Deposits: We accept major credit cards as a deposit
on your rental. No charges are made to the card unless there are extra
days, late charges, or charges for loss or damage. A cash deposit is
required in lieu of a major credit card. The cash deposit must be
adequate to cover the value of the costume.
Sizing: Costume Rentals should be
tried on in the store. It is impossible to guarantee an acceptable
fit by phone or e-mail. Sizes vary by manufacturer and we strongly
suggest that all costumes be tried for size in advance of your event.
Rental Fees: Costume Rentals are
based on a twenty-four hour period. Rentals may be extended for extra
days at an additional cost of 20% of the rental fee per day after the
first day. Example: A $40 costume is rented for 24 hours. Each day after
the first would cost $8. Costume prices range from $30 to $100
(first day fee).
Cleaning: All costumes are washed or
dry cleaned by Encore after every use.
Damage: Damage to the costume during
use is the financial responsibility of the renter. The renter is also
responsible to return all accompanying costume parts. Many costume parts
are not replaceable, therefore the costume must be fully replaced if the
parts are lost or damaged. Please take good care of our costumes as they
can be costly to replace.
Cancellation Charges: There is
a 20% cancellation fee on rentals canceled at least 24 hours before your
event. October, Santa Suit, and Easter Bunny rentals subject
to a 50% cancellation charge. There are no refunds for
costumes not picked up.
